In South Australia, you can find Lake Eyre, which is Australia’s biggest salt lake at 9500 km2 or 3,667 miles2 and cycles daily from completely dry to an entire basin relying on rainfall. Also, the Murray River is 2,508km or 1,558 miles and is considered the longest single river in Australia that runs along with three states and is surrounded by lush green landscapes. 5. National Dinosaur Museum
If you’ve already booked hotel accommodation with your family in Australia, you may want to plan to bring your kids to the National Dinosaur Museum to see the world’s biggest dinosaur footprints. The country is filled with rich archaeological histories and you can find these footprints on the north coast of Broome in Western Australia. These fossilised dinosaur footprints are 130 million years old are 1.7m or 5.6 ft long that extend in patches for 49 miles or 80km across the coast.
