Chiranjeevi is a south Indian actor and politician in Indian National Congress Party. He was born in 1955 in Mogalathur, West Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, India, and now he is 67 years old. Chiranjeevi Film career
Chiranjeevi started his film career with the Telugu movie Pranam Khareedu in 1978. The film did not perform well at the box office. But Chiranjeevi impressed everyone with his acting. Due to this, he got a chance to work in many films.
After that Chiranjeevi gave superhit films like Punadhirallu and Punnami Naagu till 1980 after his first film.
He was awarded the best actor Filmfare award for the movie “Subhalekha” released in 1982. The turning point of his film career was the movie “Kaidi” released in 1983 which helped him to earn star status by getting him recognized as an action hero. The film broke all the previous records of Telugu cinema by making 4 crores at the box office and became the highest-grossing film.
After that, he gave back-to-back hits. It has been more than 40 years since he started acting in the South Film Industry. He is still playing the main protagonist roles in the movies and has been featured in more than 150 movies.

Political journey of Chiranjeevi
Chiranjeevi started his political career in 2008 by establishing Praja Rajyam Party in Andhra Pradesh and in the 2009 assembly election he won the election from the Tirupati assembly seat. The party won 18 seats out of 295seats. After that, he made an alliance with the congress party in 2011 and he became a Rajya Sabha MP in the congress’s coalition government in the year 2012 to 2014. He was the Minister of State with independent charge in the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. In 2018, he retired from the post of Rajya Sabha MP.
