Everybody needs to drink water as part of their daily routine. We drink it everyday and it’s part of what keeps us going. Staying hydrated is important, but unfortunately over three quarters of the population don’t drink enough water every day. Fortunately, reusable water bottles can help people get more to drink every day while also providing a way to help get the word out about your small business.
Reusable water bottles make for excellent promotional and sale items simply because they’re convenient, make a good impression, and are great for your customers’ health (not to mention the environment). Here are a few ways to incorporate water bottles into your business for promoting your brand.
Sell Them
One tried and true method of getting your water bottles out into the wild is to sell them at your store. Water bottles are relatively inexpensive to manufacture and obtain in large quantities. That means that you can buy in bulk, customize each water bottle, and then sell them at a premium cost at your business. That premium cost doesn’t have to be a high dollar amount, because you can get a high return on investment simply through selling them for more than what you paid.
On top of that, your logo will already be on them, giving you some free advertising to boot. People love reusable water bottles. So selling them as a promotional deal, as part of the coupon initiative, or just as impulse purchases at the register can go a long way toward helping you build some interest in your business.
Give Them Away
On average, people who get a water bottle for free tend to keep it for a year or two and use it regularly. When you give away a water bottle or any other promotional item, you’re showing your customers that you want them to have a token of your appreciation in return for being loyal patrons. It can also act as a way to lure other clientele into your shop to become regular clients. Think of it as a roundabout way of generating leads.
When customers use your water bottles, other people might see them and decide they might want to check out what you have to offer. Plus, complimentary items and freebies always please customers and potential clients. Give them away at trade shows, through contests, at the store, and any way you see fit to get the most out of their promotional potential.
Customize Them
If you ever wondered why water bottles and drinkware such great items for customers, it’s because they’re usually customized. Customization doesn’t just mean putting your logo on something. It can mean adding some cool graphics, throwing a neat slogan on the item, or even going with a holiday theme. There are plenty of options available for customization.
Better yet, customization is largely inexpensive when you buy items in bulk for the purposes of sales and promotions. That’s part of what some imprinting companies do at their organizations. Offering a wide array of custom water bottles is a fantastic method of getting your message out there while providing an amazing quality product for your patrons.
Offer Different Kinds of Water Bottles
The beauty of giving away or selling water bottles is that you have a plethora of water bottle styles, lid styles, and materials from which to choose. Most of the time, you might offer a metal or plastic water bottle instead of a glass one. Glass water bottles can be a bit more fragile, but do look pretty good. Metal water bottles are some of the best ones because they are durable, easy to clean, and last for a long time.
Most of the popular brands of water bottles people use, like yeti and hydro flask, typically come as stainless steel insulated water bottles. Aluminum is another option for a metal water bottle, but it is not always as durable or easy to clean, and might be a bit more costly. It is, however, a little bit less expensive and can still be quite useful on a trail or hike.
Ultimately, offering different types of drinking vessels, water bottle materials, and lid styles will give customers plenty of options and make them more likely to buy one of your water bottles when they visit your store.
Suggest Ways Your Customers Can Use Them
Another way to keep the brand interaction going and solidify a relationship with your customers well after they’ve purchased/received your water bottle is to suggest ways they can use your water bottle. Make a game of interacting with your customers about how they can use your water bottles. Encourage them to bring their own water bottle when they go out instead of buying bottled water. This will save you money and help reduce plastic waste.
Recommend stainless steel or glass instead of a plastic to avoid harmful chemicals like BPA that can leach into your drink. Suggest they refill their bottles with filter tap water. There are plenty of other great suggestions that you can come up with on your own to help your customers enjoy your water bottles. Whatever the case, by supplying them with an awesome custom logo bottle, you’ll be able to drive some awesome brand awareness for a long time to come.
