India’s crown has witnessed a series of historic events since the abrogation of Rule 370 in J&K, which have rightly received global attention for several good reasons. For the first time in its history, Srinagar is hosting the winners of international beauty pageants, after the valley of Kashmir hosted the G20 Working Party meeting earlier this year. A visit to Srinagar city is being organized by Miss World Karolina Bielawska of Poland, and a number of other beauty pageant winners.
India: Kashmir Hosts Miss World along with other beauty pageant winners: Introduction:-
The beauty pageant winners including Miss World Karolina Bielawska who is in Srinagar, have been stunned by the natural beauty of Kashmir. A pre-event to the Miss World 2023 was held here in Srinagar, where along with the Miss World, many beauty queens like Miss World Caribbean, Emmy Pena; Miss World America, Shree Saini; Miss World India, Sini Shetty; Miss World England, Jessica Gagen; Miss Asia, Pricilia Carla Saputri Yules attended.
Also, the Miss World Organization’s President and CEO, Julia Eric Morley was present there. India is hosting the 71st edition of the Miss World 2023 pageant, to be held later this year. For the beauty queens, a tour of the city of Srinagar, including the famous Dal Lake, was organized. The Ministry of Tourism took all visiting beauty queens out for a shikara ride. And all praise was given to the beauty of Kashmir.
The J&K Government claims that events like these will make the valley known around the world. Miss World’s visit to Kashmir is supposed to bring about a synergy of beauty, art, and cultural exchange. Thousands of foreign tourists have been visiting this valley since the G20 Working Party meeting. During the initial six months of 2023, about 17,000 foreigners arrived in Kashmir Valley.
Reviews:-
Talking about her visit to India, Ms. World Karolina Biwlawska on Monday said she’s very happy with the beauty of various places in India such as Kashmir, and expressed a great deal of joy at having come here. The diversity and warmth of Indian hospitality have also been praised by the Miss World.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to see this beautiful place (Kashmir) in India. I hadn’t expected that kind of beauty, but it just stuns me. We talked about Kashmir, and I’m sure the scenery is going to be wonderful. But what we were seeing today, really did blow our minds. They’ve been welcoming us in such a warm way that I can hardly wait to welcome 140 countries and all my friends and family into India as well as show the places like Kashmir, Delhi, or Mumbai.
There are so many beautiful places in India, it’s very diverse and I always find something new to experience when I come here. Every state has so much to offer and is extremely hospitable,” Karolina said at a press conference in Srinagar on Monday.
When questioned about the success of Chandrayaan-3, Bielawska responded, “It is an incredible achievement and India should be very proud.”
It is important to keep in mind that the Miss World Organization selected India as the host nation for the 71st Miss World 2023 competition in June of this year. Reita Faria won the competition in 1966, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 1994, Diana Hayden in 1997, Yukta Mookhey in 1999, Priyanka Chopra in 2000, and Manushi Chillar in 2017. India has won the Miss World pageant six times. This year’s December edition of the esteemed event will be held in India for the first time in thirty years.
The 71st Miss World pageant was reportedly going to be held in Kashmir, however, Jamil Saidi, the head of PME Entertainment, denied this, calling the rumors “unfounded” and “incorrect.”
“Seeing such beauty is emotional for us,” Morely, who is in Kashmir, told the media on Monday. “I am very pleased. Morley said that it was likely that the Miss World crew would visit Kashmir in November. “I’m excited to meet you in November. I’m grateful, Kashmir. You all are fantastic. God bless you, and we hope to see you again soon,” Morley added.
